On September 8th, we had a church-wide outreach going door-to-door with books that were left at the doorsteps of various local neighborhoods pointing readers to our local church. Many members helped to put bags together after service containing two books, On the Edge of Time and The Path to Peace. There were a few stations each with an important task. Stickers were applied with our Church name and address so interested readers would know where the books came from and how to find us. The books were then placed into door hangers and then distributed into larger carrier bags, 50 to a bag.
We are so grateful to all those who participated in putting the bags together and those who were able to physically walk those bags to each home in the hot sun. Together we gave out 2,000 books that day!
Thank you to the Book Ministry for organizing this outreach and inspiring members to participate in growing our local Church. The Book Ministry strategized and worked behind the scenes creating maps, getting together the various supplies and other assets to make the process after Church as seamless as possible!
To all those who participated, thank you for being Jesus’ hands and feet! Outreaches like this will grow our church and keep our beautiful new church building up on the hill full. We hope this inspires you to participate on the next Church outreach coming soon.
